Which teas do you drink for the flavor and which do you drink for the health? Or... is it the same tea?The bottom line is, you need to drink tea every day to get the health benefits. Just like vitamins, taking just one won't help. Check out the Loose Leaf Tea, find your favorite, read the health benefits under each tea type and... I know there is a lot of research about the true leaf teas, but I would love for someone to do studies on the health effects of herbal tea. I feel super engergized after a cup of Fruity Dream herbal tea!

Fruity Dream is both healthy and flavorful. It serves a dual purpose. I like to drink it cold as well. In fact, I prefer it over ice.

Greentea is the best! although there are a lot of other flavored teas, I highly recommend Greentea is the best tea among all.First, let's think about how greentea is beneficial to us.* great medicine for Headaches and depression.* helps digestion.* green tea lowers total cholesterol levels, as well as improving the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to bad (LDL) cholesterol.*inhibits the growth of cancer cells.* boost immune functionFor harmful effects?the only negative side effect reported from drinking green tea is insomnia due to the fact that it contains caffeine. However, green tea contains less caffeine than coffee: there are approximately thirty to sixty mg. of caffeine in six - eight ounces of tea, compared to over one-hundred mg. in eight ounces of coffee.;)

I haven't found any research about the Fruity Dream herbal tea ;-) but I think it's possible that scientists will begin researching herbal teas in depth soon. I just stumbled across this article from Science Daily: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/03/110301122055.htmAt the end of the article the scientists who conducted tests on chamomile, peppermint and hibiscus tea explicitly stated that further clinical studies should be conducted.

I know that there are certain teas and herbs to promote calmness and sleep... Rooibos, Chamomile, Valerian, etc. and that sage helps with menopausal hot flashes and night sweats, and as a menopausal, chronic insomniac, this is great news! However, I also suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS), which exacerbates the insomnia for me and keeps my husband awake. Is there a tea or herb that helps with those symptoms?

I'm not sure of any teas that have been proven to help with restless legs, but my husband's grandmother swears by a cup of chamomile before bed. I do know that any tea with ANY caffeine in it at all with exacerbate RLS symptoms, though!

Thanks very much. I do drink caffeinated tea in the morning, taper off with a green or white tea in the early afternoon and have only decaf varieties at night. I have been trying different teas before bedtime that are supposed to calm or induce sleep... but when my legs are acting up, nothing seems to help. I am taking Requip, a prescription for RLS, but it doesn't relieve the symptoms entirely and I'd rather not have to take it at all.

I wish I could be of more help! :( My husband's grandmother is on Requip too -- she said it worked less and less for her as time passed. It's so unfortunate -- from what I've seen, RLS is absolutely awful to live with and the only treatments available don't work well or for long for most people!

I drink green tea for health, and anything else for the taste.

Have you tried our Bedtime Chai with Valerian Root? I haven't read anything indicating that Valerian Root helps with RLS, but it for sure calms your nerves. I'd like to know if it helps at all.

I'm planning on trying some. I have some tea with Valerian root in it now and it definitely does relax me... but it doesn't seem to help the legs.

  15. I was watching The Talk on the local channels with Sharone Osbourne and company and Dr. Suzanne Funk an expert in breast cancer research and founder of Lotus Therapy in Beverly Hills stated during her appearance that green tea will significantly reduce your chances of geting breast cancer. Its nice to hear it directly from a live person rather than it embedded in scientific research.
