Until recently I thought that only China, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Korea and Kenya are producing tea. Somehow I missed Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, but it didn't surprise me to learn they are also producing quite a lot of tea. Probably because they are all close to famous tea countries. But, I was quite surprised to see tea from Australia, New Zealand and even Scotland. Is it really possible to grow tea in so many countries? Has anyone ever tried tea from different countries? Is it different? How many countries are producing tea?
Yes, it is possible. I've tried some teas from other countries. They are all very unique, although usually they are produced in a much smaller quantities, sometimes they are not even for sale. You have more tea producing countries in Asia, like Burma, Laos, Malaysia... You can find tea in Canada, U.S.A, many different African countries, and it seams it's getting quite popular in Europe as well. Scotland is probably the leader in producing European tea. .
Tea is popular all over the world. But most of them are similar in some areas. I prefer the Chinese and European tea. Especially the Chinses tea. They are famous.
