I was thinking a bit about tea and how often it is marketed as a healthy drink. It looks like every different tea type (even flavored) is marketed as a special cure for a different health problem. How much true is there in those kinds of statements? If the Chinese consider tea as a healthy drink, do they drink it more for health or because it is their culture? Is tea in China marketed with attached health benefits as well? Does anyone have more inoformation on this? Or even in Japan, do people drink tea because it can help with certain problems or because it is their culture, and benefits are only a plus?
In my opinion, people from China or Japan ever other country, they drink tea as a culture, maybe as a healthy beverag. However, it is unnecessary to consider the purpose of drinking tea. Tasting tea is tasting life,no matter what the reason.
