Everyone has a morning routine. Mine is wake up, get the kids ready for school, drop them off, brew some earl grey, go for a long walk around the neighborhood with one of my dogs. By the time I'm back from my walk, I have a clear head, and am energized for my day! How does your morning routine go? What kind of tea do you have in your morning routine?

My morning tea is typically just a nice full bodied black tea. I recently got some very strong, loose Ceylon black tea that I have with milk. I drink it while I blog hop and search for creative ideas, before heading into my studio.

  3. Im in week three of my morning routean as I am nesting and awaiting for the lil one to arrive!I start off by brewing a fresh cup of herbal tea, lately it's been Blueberry Syrup. Next I take the dog outside into the garden, though he does so reluctantly, as if a full 10 hours of sleep isnt enough for a Great Dane these days.I then sit on my ocean blue cushioned wicker patio chair and gaze into the view while I get my bearing straight. For those of you non-preggies, it takes a minute or two for realignment without a jolt of caffeine pumping through your veins.A few sips later, I walk over to the hose and begin my daily watering of the lavender patch with cherry tree and artichoke bloom, followed by the 6 ladies as we have labeled the magnolias down below that need more maintenance and attention than Paris Hilton, and an occasional spray or two to the wisteria that grows like a madman. I cant wait for the whole trellis that its wrapping its tendrils on to be covered with greenery! But I dont stop there. I then walk over to the other side of the house and pick up another hose to water fig trees, kumquat and tangelo plants, a lemon tree, some jasmines, a series of sagebrushes, and the grand finale: a baby avocado tree that is resucitated from a recent sun beating. Finally, I cruise through the vegetable garden and sadly water the plants that an unknown creature has been nibbing on leaving us nothing but stems. So I take out my cayenne pepper infused water bottle and spray the heck out of every green piece of nature I can see. Hopefully this should do it.
